Schedule a no obligation 15 min call with me to discuss the struggles you'd like support with and what you hope to gain from therapy.
-
Ask me any questions you may have and I’ll try my best to answer them.
-
If we are the right fit for one another and if you’re eager to begin, we can schedule our first session together.
-
If you need more time to process, I respect that decision and will be here when you are ready.

The Process

Initial Meeting
I want to know your story - where you've been and how you got here. That's important. I want to be able to get a sense of who you are, what your hopes and aspirations are, what your strengths are, and what are the struggles you face that led you to therapy. Once we've established that, then the work begins.
Frequency of Sessions
I don't dictate the number of session you must have to meet your therapy goals or the frequency of consecutive sessions you should have. However, consistency especially in the first few weeks of starting therapy is YOUR key to success. They say it takes 21 days to build a habit? Well, similarly, it takes consistent weekly therapy to develop and shape your skills, and shift your mindset so that you notice change happening. Your success relies on you and I assure you that I won't shame or judge, but I will hold you accountable to your goals.

I am a firm believer in incorporating both your personal strengths and your interests into the work that we will do together. I will also tap into your desire for change to motivate you and keep you engaged throughout your sessions. I strongly believe that our sessions should be enjoyable and meaningful. and I aim to help you walk away after your session with some new insight, a new skill or something to contemplate and reflect on. We can also incorporate yoga into your therapy plan if you so choose.

Therapy is an actively experiential process. I do not have a magic wand. For you to experience the results that you hope to accomplish requires engagement and participation on your end. Talk therapy can be a helpful tool in gaining self-awareness and learning how to apply the processes of conscious and mindful living, but as with all tools, if you don't use them, they serve no purpose. As such, I ask you to commit to and hold yourself accountable in embarking on an active practice of living your life that aligns with your values, despite the discomfort that comes along.

I'd be honored to come along on your journey towards healing and wellness. I'd like to help you actualize your potential and help you feel empowered to allow your authentic self to shine through.

Ending Therapy
Deciding when to end our sessions will be based on your progress towards your stated goals. Throughout the therapeutic process, we will assess and evaluate your progress together. Therapy should not be a long drawn out process. My goal is for you to end therapy with confidence that you can handle just about anything.
